Proclamation provides further provisions for counties affected by flooding

Governor Reynolds has issued a proclamation providing additional precautions for counties affected by recent widespread flooding.

The proclamation applies to counties including Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, O’Brien, Palo Alto and Pocahontas. The Governor’s proclamation allows for additional targeted suspensions of certain regulatory requirements in the affected counties to effectively respond to and recover from the impacts of the flooding.

Due to severe weather and flooding from 21 June, additional measures have been added to those already in place. See below for more information.

  • The legal provisions are temporarily suspended if they restrict the transport of permitted loads at night or the transport with authorization on public holidays.
  • The regulations requiring fees for issuing duplicate registrations and certificates of ownership for snowmobiles are temporarily suspended.
  • Fees for issuing secondary registrations and proof of ownership for off-road vehicles will be temporarily suspended.
  • The provisions prescribing fees for the issuance of duplicate registrations and title deeds for vessels are temporarily suspended.
  • The provisions requiring the Department of Natural Resources to collect fees for the issuance of duplicate hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses and duplicate hunter safety certificate licenses are temporarily suspended.
