Authorities investigating a reported bomb threat in San Jose on Wednesday found a suspicious object but later declared the scene safe, police said.

The investigation took place in the area of ​​Ridder Park and Fox Drive, police said.

“Units are still investigating the incident, the suspicious object and the circumstances,” police said in a post on X at 1:19 p.m. “Road closures will remain in place for some time.”

According to police, nearby businesses were evacuated during the investigation.
