Multi-vehicle accident causes delays on US-220 in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Virginia. – Motorists traveling north on US-220 in Roanoke should expect delays due to a multi-vehicle crash near Franklin Road SW to Elm Avenue SE.

According to VDOT, the north center lane, right lane and right shoulder are closed. The traffic backup is approximately half a mile long.

Roanoke police said detours have been set up at the Franklin Road SW and Electric Road exits and public safety is working to reopen the road as quickly as possible.
