Teenager from Fort Smith allegedly raped 7-year-old girl

FORT SMITH, Arkansas – A Sebastian County teenager is accused of repeatedly raping a 7-year-old girl over the course of at least two months, according to an affidavit filed by the Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD).

The affidavit accuses 18-year-old Santiago Monterossa of Fort Smith of repeatedly raping a 7-year-old girl while babysitting her between November 2023 and January 2024.

According to Sebastian County records, Monterossa was booked into jail on June 26.

According to court documents, Monterrosa’s bail was set at $100,000. He faces charges of second-degree rape and sexual assault. He is also prohibited from approaching or communicating with the alleged victim’s family under threat of arrest.
