Two arrests made in connection with attempted murder on July 1 | WKZO | Everything Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department announced Wednesday that it has arrested two suspects in connection with an attempted murder that occurred early Monday.

A 44-year-old woman from Portage and a 36-year-old man from Kalamazoo are accused of assault with intent to murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and drug offenses.

The department’s criminal investigation department said there were no other suspects involved in the incident.

The victim, a Kalamazoo woman, was attacked in Comstock Township in the early morning hours of July 1 and suffered life-threatening injuries.

She is currently recovering in a Kalamazoo-area hospital and is expected to survive.

The two suspects are currently in the Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment.
