Tragic incident involving teen shooting in Rossville, GA | Local news

On Wednesday morning, July 3, officers with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call that a 14-year-old boy had been shot in Rossville, Georgia.

When the officers arrived at the scene of the accident, they and paramedics began life-saving measures for the boy.

The victim was transported to TC Thompson Children’s Hospital and underwent surgery upon arrival. His condition is unknown and he is under protective custody because he is a minor.

The incident is currently under investigation, but initial reports indicate that the 14-year-old and a 12-year-old were playing with a gun when a shot was fired, injuring the older boy.
