Forecast for July 4th and the weekend

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Partly to mostly cloudy Wednesday night and very warm with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible mainly early in the evening, which could impact outdoor activity plans. High 88, low 70.

Thursday, July 4th will be mostly calm and warm with high temperatures around 80 degrees, a 30% chance of an isolated shower, a thunderstorm mainly well south near the New York-Pennsylvania state border.

Thursday night, Independence Day, is forecast to be mostly dry across the region and partly cloudy, with a warm low of 68 degrees.

Our next round of rain and some thunderstorms will arrive later Friday afternoon and especially Friday evening. Warm day with a high of 85 and a low of 69.

Drier weather is expected for the weekend. A shower or thunderstorm is not out of the question on Saturday, otherwise it will be partly sunny, with highs of 81 and lows of 67.
