2 employees of a real estate company sexually harass woman in Hyderabad and are arrested: Police

Hyderabad:

Two men who worked as salesmen in a real estate company were arrested here on suspicion of sexually harassing a woman, police said on Wednesday.

In her police report, the woman stated that she had gone to Miyapur on June 30 to work as a salesperson. There, she was met by two salesmen and later picked up by car from a hostel and driven to a construction site.

After the meeting, they stopped their car in front of a building under construction that night and told the plaintiff that the car had broken down.

The two vendors then served the woman a cool drink and sweets and after consuming them, she became dizzy. Taking advantage of the situation, the two removed her clothes, touched her body and abused and beat the woman, said a press release from the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

They also sexually harassed her one after another until the early hours of July 1, causing her severe pain. They then dropped her off at the hostel and fled, it was reported.

Based on the woman’s complaint, a rape case was registered at Miyapur police station and during the course of investigation, the two vendors were arrested, police added.
