Stearns County Sheriff’s Office arrests suspect in connection with Rockville shooting incident

(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is releasing more details about what led to a large police presence in Rockville near Grand Lake.

A 911 call came in Monday about a possible violation of a nuisance restraining order at a home on County Road 8. The caller also reported hearing the suspect fire a gun several times in an unknown direction.

Officers arrived and set up a perimeter around the suspect’s property. The Stearns-Benton SWAT team was called to assist in searching and clearing the home and outbuildings. The suspect was not found. According to a news release, police found several firearms based on a search warrant.

On Tuesday, the suspect was seen and pulled over in Marty. The suspect was arrested without incident and is being held in the Stearns County Jail pending charges.
