18-year-old dies after shooting in Dayton on June 24

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A second person was pronounced dead following a shooting in Dayton on June 24.

According to Dayton police, an 18-year-old man who was already in critical condition has died.


At approximately 12:40 a.m. on Monday, June 24, emergency responders responded to several areas near the 1500 block of Home Avenue. Seven people were found with gunshot wounds at the scene, reportedly a party in a vacant apartment building.

22-year-old Donna Zile was pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the five other injured people is unknown at the time of writing.
