Uncle Luke scolds Drake after ‘unacceptable’ attack on Rick Ross in Canada

Uncle Luke criticized Drake after Rick Ross was attacked in Vancouver, which he deemed “unacceptable.” The hip-hop pioneer took to social media to vent his frustration that their issues had turned violent, if not worse. He also criticized Drake for liking a post that shared the video of the attack on Ross.

“I expect more from Mr. Drake. If there is violence, you don’t tolerate it. Drake, you should be bigger than that. You don’t like posts because that’s what happens: there’s always a backlash to everything… Even if you weren’t involved, half the country thinks you set a trap for the man. You book a show in Canada and you send your minions there to provoke and start a fight with Ross. When you, Mr. Drake, liked the post, you got involved in the violence with Mr. Ross and his crew.”

The icon, also known as Luke Skywalker, later compared the situation to a very famous hip-hop story, namely that of 2Pac and Biggie. Luke claimed he “saw how that ends” and urged Drizzy to be the stronger one in the situation with Ross.

But Uncle Luke isn’t the only one calling for peace in the Drake-Kendrick Lamar feud. Marlon Wayans explained that Drake, Ross, Lamar, The Game and others should all take a cue from J. Cole’s infamous apology to Dreamville as a way forward.

“Dear hip hop. It’s all fun and games until people start getting hurt. Remember HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF,” he typed. “I knew Tupac, I knew Biggie. I partied with them, hung out with them, saw them both 20 minutes before they got shot. Violence is real. Anyone can be touched. Don’t mess with the devil. I love (Drake), love (Rick Ross), love (Kendrick Lamar), love (The Game) and I tell all my brothers there’s enough food for everybody.”

“Y’all need to do what J. Cole did. With peace, with love, with positivity. Life is short… even shorter when you spend your energy tearing each other down instead of building each other up. I hate to see any of our kings at war. There are too few of us. STOP! And I say this with love. Always OG MW.”
