Man from the north of the state arrested for making false bomb threat against North Carolina hospital

HENDERSONVILLE, NC (WSPA) – An Upstate man was arrested for allegedly filing a false report of a bomb threat against a North Carolina hospital.

The City of Hendersonville announced that an arrest warrant was served on James Vigil of Greer on Monday in connection with an incident at Pardee Hospital on May 18.


Officials said Hendersonville police launched an investigation after reports that an explosive device was located at the hospital.

As the investigation continued, detectives concluded that the hospital was never in danger and identified Vigil as the suspect.

Officials said Vigil was taken into custody where he is awaiting his court date.

According to investigators, Vigil acted alone during the incident.
