Medina Alert: White truck sought after hit-and-run in west Denver

DENVER (KDVR) – Denver police have issued a Medina alert for a truck wanted for a hit-and-run Tuesday.

Early Wednesday morning, Denver police said they were looking for a white 2022 GMC Sierra truck with Colorado license plate CYTZ04.


According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the GMC Sierra and its driver are wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash in the 7200 block of W. Yale Avenue. The area is east of the Bear Creek Greenbelt in Denver’s Bear Valley neighborhood.

According to the CBI, the driver of the truck allegedly struck another vehicle and a man on a bicycle at 12:25 a.m., causing serious injuries to the victim. The driver did not stay at the scene of the accident and was last seen driving eastbound on W. Yale Avenue near the 7200 block.

According to the CBI, the truck appears to have damage to the passenger side or the front.

Anyone who saw the truck or knows the driver is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward.
