Man jumps off bridge during police chase in Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – We have more information on a large police presence Tuesday night in downtown Youngstown near the Spring Common or Peanut Bridge.

Police said they were called shortly before 9 p.m. because a man had attacked a woman.

Police said the man ran away, so they pursued the suspect on foot. Police said he then jumped off the bridge.

According to police, he was injured and taken to hospital but is expected to recover.

An arrest warrant was issued against the suspect and he was arrested. Authorities believe he is accused of obstruction of office.
