Shed fire in Wicomico County under investigation by state fire department | Latest News

SALISBURY, MD – The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a shed fire that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Wicomico County.

According to state officials, the fire occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Nokomis Avenue in Salisbury.

The fire, which was discovered by a passerby, broke out on the outside of a wooden-framed shed, according to the state fire marshal.

It took the fire department 10 minutes to bring the incident under control.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office said arson was the preliminary cause and that two juveniles are pending arrest in connection with the incident.

The estimated building loss is $6,000 and the estimated content loss is $2,500.
