First report: Morning walk on the river bank ends in sexual assault

Surveillance video from the Omaha Riverfront area showed a man walking with the victim around 6:30 a.m. on June 15.

According to police, the woman said the man, identified as “Andrew,” was walking with her between 15th and 16th streets downtown.

They walked through Gene Leahy Mall and along the riverfront.

The woman said she was sexually assaulted there.

Williams’ bail was set at $750,000 and he was ordered not to have any contact with the victim.

His next court date will be in early August.
