Tashaun Gipson suspended six games for violating NFL steroid policy: REPORT

It is astonishing that athletes still try to get away with taking steroids…

Tashaun Gipson Sr., a free agent safety who played the last two seasons for the San Francisco 49ers, has been suspended six games by the NFL. According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday, Gipson is being punished for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances. Gipson was signed as an additional backup before the 2022 season. He was able to re-energize his career in San Francisco and became the starter at the free safety position. The Niners re-signed him to a one-year contract worth $2.9 million.

Gipson started 16 games in the 2023 season, recording 60 tackles, one sack and one interception. In 2022, he recorded 61 tackles and five interceptions. He had five tackles in San Fran’s Super Bowl LVIII loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and totaled 14 in the playoffs.

You all know how I feel about steroids. I don’t really care if athletes take them.

I mean, damn, the golden era of baseball was absolutely glorious because of the juice.

Say what you want, but this thing was pure entertainment.

At the same time, however…how can we be so stupid as to still try to take steroids with impunity?

Dumb.
