Woman arrested in connection with fatal hit-and-run accident in Leon County

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred last week.

Nancy Williams, 62, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and faces two charges of hit-and-run, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. They are as follows:

  • Failure to attend the scene of a fatal accident
  • Failure to stop in the event of an accident involving injuries

LCSO confirmed their charges are related to a hit-and-run crash on Bannerman Road that left a man dead on Thursday. A portion of Bannerman Road near Blue Smoke Drive was closed for about four hours that day while officers investigated the crash scene.

According to court records, Williams is scheduled to appear in court early Wednesday.
