Former Lexington pastor held on $250,000 bail for allegedly raping 15-year-old girl | Crime Reports

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WDRB) — A former Lexington, Kentucky pastor is accused of raping and sexually abusing a teenage girl.

According to an arrest warrant, 47-year-old Zachary King admitted to investigators that he began having sex with a 15-year-old girl in January 2023 and continued the relationship until April 2024.

King told investigators that he had sex with the minor at her home, at his home and at LexCity Church, where he was formerly senior pastor.

The warrant states that King resigned after being confronted by church officials about his relationship with the minor.

King is accused of rape, sodomy, sexual abuse and using electronic devices for sexual conduct with a minor. He was arraigned Tuesday in Fayette County court, where the judge set bail at $250,000.

He is expected back in court on Friday, July 5.
