Suspect arrested near Houston for vehicle theft, gun charges | Texas

Houston, Texas — A 17-year-old from Tavola was arrested for burglary of a vehicle and illegal possession of a weapon.

Elmilvio Kamari Harris, 17, of Tavola, was apprehended after a resident found him inside his vehicle and detained him until officers from the Roman Forest Police Department arrived, according to a department news release. Officers Rawlinson and Rippe responded quickly, taking Harris into custody and launching an investigation. Additional suspects have been identified and the case remains ongoing. Harris is charged with burglary of a vehicle and unlawful carrying of a weapon, both class A misdemeanors, with additional charges pending.
