Four accused of raping and killing a boy

A 12-year-old boy was kidnapped, raped and killed in Samundri Saddar area. The victim’s grandmother was so distraught over the tragedy that she died of shock.

The police have arrested four suspects and are conducting investigations.

A police spokesman said the 12-year-old son of Abdul Sattar, a resident of Chak 170GB, was playing outside his house on June 10 when he was abducted and then raped.

The perpetrators murdered the victim, dismembered his body and dumped it in a canal in Samundri.

The police recovered the body and handed it over to the family after completing the necessary legal steps.

“The loss was too much for the child’s 70-year-old grandmother, Sabran Bibi, who stopped eating and drinking out of shock and grief. She died yesterday,” the spokesman added.

Samundri Saddar police have arrested and interrogated four suspects: Farooq, Ali, Imran and Naveed alias Neda, all residents of the same village. They have reportedly confessed to the crime.

Police officials quoted her as saying that the child was taken to a cemetery where she was gang raped and murdered with ice cutters.
