Houston’s Top 4th of July Celebrations: Fireworks, Parades, and Live Music

The 4th of July is coming and it’s time to party! From fireworks to parades, Americans celebrate this holiday in all sorts of ways.

Here are some different places to visit for the celebration:

Shell Freedom over Texas

This annual edition event is filled with six hours of festivities, live music, lawn games and children’s entertainment areas with games and rides.

The event will take place at Eleanor Tinsley Park from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The highlight of the event will be the musically choreographed Texas-sized fireworks show.

The event will donate a percentage of food and beverage sales to the Houston Food Bank.

This year, country pop artist Russell Dickerson will headline the event, and Jo Dee Messina and Chapel Hart will also perform. Find the full lineup of shows here.

Galveston

For those willing to drive further, then Galveston 4th of July Parade This is definitely something not to be missed.

This will be the fourth annual parade and will feature dozens of floats, decorated vehicles and performers. The parade will begin on Seawall Blvd. at 22nd Street and continue to 45th Street.

End the day with the spectacular fireworks on the beach at 9:15 p.m. from 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard.

You can also combine this experience with the amusement park of Kemah! Back in force! July 4th Parade for a free celebration starting at 10am Lighthouse district.

The event will feature live music from the Lone Star All Star Trio, a performance by Uncle Sam Stilt Walker and a set by The Slags.

King’s Wood

For early risers, check out the fishing rodeo from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Foster’s Mill Ponds on the corner of Kingwood Walk and Forest Garden.

They also have a bike rodeo at 9am in the parking lot of Kingwood Bible Church on the corner of Oakwood Forest and Lake Houston Parkway.

POST Houston Skylawn Celebration

Celebrations will begin at 5 p.m. with activities including face painting, bars, food booths, free balloon artists and live musical performances by the Houston Brass Band and Alias ​​Band.

THE place will also offer a view of the Shell Freedom Over Texas fireworks. Children five and under receive free admission and Early Bird general admission tickets cost $20.

It is recommended to use public transport as Metro services or carpooling to avoid the hassle of finding a parking space.

Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Show at The Woodlands

THE 27th Annual Tradition presents itself with a promising and unforgettable experience! Celebrations include food, family entertainment and an 18-minute fireworks display.

Since the event is so big, it takes place in multiple locations Woods. With the Green City Park Being the main attraction of the festival, the festivities will also take place at North Shore Park, Waterway Square And Hughes Landing.

These locations will have vendors selling food, drinks, face painting, balloon artists and children’s crafts. Enjoy the fireworks in a more intimate setting, head to Rob Fleming Park.

The festivities and fireworks at all sites will begin at 6:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. respectively.

Sugar Land Town in Red, White and Booming

This free event will begin in Sugar Land at Crown Festival Park at 4pm and will feature live music, School of Rock and The Foo Fakers Band.

There you can find entertainment activities such as carnival games, inflatable sports structures, photo stations, face painting, airbrushing and climbing walls. The evening will conclude with Fort Bend County’s largest fireworks display at 9:40 p.m.
