Rochester man arrested after leading Indiana State Police trooper on chase – 95.3 MNC

A Rochester man was arrested after leading an Indiana State Police trooper on a chase in Cass and Fulton counties.

It was around 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, when the trooper was patrolling State Road 25 in Cass County and noticed a yellow motorcycle with no taillight on.

The trooper attempted to stop the motorcycle on State Road 25 near County Road 900 North. The motorcycle failed to stop and led the trooper on a chase along Cass and Fulton County roads, reaching speeds of about 80 miles per hour.

The trooper continued to pursue the motorcycle north on State Road 25 before coming to a stop on County Road 950 South in Fulton County. The driver, Jamie Corbin, 43, fled on foot but was later taken into custody.

A search of the motorcycle revealed suspicion of methamphetamine.

During the investigation, the officer was able to gather information that led to the belief that Corbin was under the influence.

Further investigation revealed that Corbin had two active warrants out of Howard County.

As a result of the pursuit and subsequent investigation, Corbin was provisionally charged with:

Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle (Previous) – Level 5 Felony
Possession of Methamphetamine – Level 6 Felony
Driving under the influence of alcohol – Class A misdemeanor
Resisting Law Enforcement – ​​Class A Misdemeanor
