Woman arrested for murder after body found in plastic container in Fort Worth

A 52-year-old man was killed in an apartment on Las Vegas Trail and his body was thrown from a Ford Taurus onto a northwest Fort Worth road that leads to a shale gas platform, police said.

According to police, Dwight Hood’s body was discovered in a plastic container on the remote road on June 5.

Police arrested 51-year-old Tisha Hulsey on Monday evening on suspicion of murder in connection with the killing, which is being investigated by the Fort Worth Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

The Tarrant County Coroner’s Office has not released Hood’s cause of death.

Hood was killed in Hulsey’s apartment in the 3200 block of Las Vegas Trail, according to police. His body was found in the 3300 block of Mc Candless Street.

A Fort Worth police spokesman said Tuesday the case is under investigation and declined to release the affidavit supporting the arrest warrant for Hulsey.
