RFK Jr. accused of sexual assault, poses with dead dog in Vanity Fair expose

An explosive new profile of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. accuses the presidential candidate of sexually harassing a former babysitter and includes a photo that appears to show him posing with a grilled hot dog.

These are just some of the alarming claims made by Joe Hagan, a special correspondent for Vanity Fair, in a lengthy article about the independent presidential candidate published on Tuesday.

The story suggests that while Kennedy Jr.’s siblings are “angry” and “heartbroken” about his candidacy, “even they may not know his darkest secrets.”

Among those secrets, according to the magazine, is the diary entry of a woman who was hired by the Kennedy family as a part-time babysitter in 1998. The woman, then 23, accused Kennedy Jr. of rubbing her leg under a table and later groping her in his kitchen.

The story also contains further details about Kennedy Jr.’s past drug problems, which he speaks openly about.

Hagan points to an incident in which a “carefree” Kennedy Jr. once smoked several lines of cocaine in front of a reporter who was writing a book about the family, as well as an overdose on an airplane in 1983.

Perhaps the most shocking detail of the story, however, is a now-viral photo showing the 70-year-old politician and anti-vaccination campaigner posing next to an unidentified woman with what appears to be the remains of a cooked dog.

The photo was taken in 2010, writes Hagan, citing the metadata of the digital file.

Last year, Kennedy Jr. reportedly texted the disturbing image to a friend traveling to Asia, saying he would probably enjoy a restaurant in Korea that had dog meat on the menu.

In a live interview streamed on YouTube early Tuesday afternoon, Kennedy Jr. sharply criticized the article as “a load of garbage” and said the picture did not show a dog but a goat he ate in Patagonia.

According to Vanity Fair, a veterinarian confirmed that the carcass was indeed that of a dog, “pointing out the 13 pairs of ribs, including the canine ‘floating rib.'”

Kennedy Jr.’s campaign declined to comment on the allegations. Instead, a spokesperson referred to a post shared on X in which the candidate says Vanity Fair has “joined the ranks of the supermarket tabloids.”

“The DNC media’s trash can journalism may distract us from President Biden’s cognitive deficits, but it does little to elevate the national debate or lower food prices,” he wrote alongside the photo used by the magazine.
