Israeli Eurovision star Eden Golan involved in car accident

Israeli singer and participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 Eden Golan was involved in a car accident last week as she left her home in Tel Aviv to attend a family dinner.

Golan had just set off in her new car when the steering wheel stopped responding at a bend, causing her to veer off the track and collide with a car parked nearby.

Golan suffered a minor leg injury from the impact. The accident blocked the narrow road, causing a traffic jam, but a passing police patrol car quickly came to her aid. The officers calmed Golan down and arranged for her car to be towed away.

Golan’s parents, who were nearby, also came to the scene of the accident to assist their daughter. The car she collided with suffered only minor damage due to her slow driving speed.

In a statement, Golan’s agency said: “Accidents are always scary, but Eden is fine now. Fortunately, it was not a serious accident and she was wearing a seat belt.”
