BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Governor Kathy Hochul announced free admission to New York State Park pools this summer as part of her “Get Offline, Get Outside” campaign to promote healthy living.

New Yorkers will not have to pay an entrance fee to access the Fort Niagara State Park pool in Youngstown or the Letchworth State Park pool in Castile, among other New York state park pools. In addition, free sunscreen from a pilot program launched by Hochul will be provided.

“We’re helping our youth get off their phones and computers, spend time with friends and family, and stay active across our state,” Hochul said. “Summer is here: unplug and get outside.”

Usual parking fees still apply.
