Buffalo man sentenced in fatal Bailey Avenue shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced Monday afternoon in connection with a shooting that left one man dead last year, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Authorities said Ryan M. Crawford, 23, shot Duryll Anderson, 38, with an illegal handgun in the 800 block of Bailey Avenue around 2:25 a.m. on April 2, 2023. The victim was transported by ambulance to ECMC where he later died from his injuries.

Crawford was sentenced to 25 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision.
