Rock Ross has spoken out after he was attacked by angry Drake fans at a Canadian music festival for playing a Kendrick Lamar “diss track” directed against the rapper.

Ross, 48, whose real name is William Roberts, played a set at Vancouver’s Ignite Music Festival on Sunday and closed it with Kenrick’s chart-topping hit “Not Like Us” against Drake, a decision that angered several concertgoers.

Now, for the first time since the shocking incident, Ross has broken his silence, sharing a post on his Instagram account in which he seems to completely ignore the commotion and simply states that he had “fun” on his trip.

“Vancouver it was fun see you next time,” the rapper wrote while posing in front of a black private jet emblazoned with his name.

Ross’ seemingly casual post about his time in Canada revealed little about the chaos that unfolded at the end of his set.

As the rapper left the stage while the song was still playing, he was confronted by a group of Drake fans who were unhappy with his choice of final song.

Footage of the attack shared on social media shows a man, apparently Ross, in a heated argument with a male festival-goer.

Later, the man hits Ross, which leads to a fight.

The brawl didn’t seem to have affected Ross’ time in Canada, as the rapper posted an Instagram story on Monday in front of his Rick Ross-branded private jet, writing, “Vancouver, it was fun, see you next time.”

The photo series also shows him sipping champagne and having lunch with his entourage.

Drake, 37, appeared to take aim at Ross earlier this year with his song Push Ups. The song included the lyric: “Maybe I’ll take your newest girl and handcuff her like Ricky / I can’t believe he’s getting into it, this n—- is turning 50 / Every song that hit the charts, he got it from Drizzy.”

Ross responded with his song “Champagne Moments” and hinted that Drake had undergone a nose job.

There has been a bitter rivalry between Canadian star Drake and American rapper Kendrick Lamar for years.

Lamar, 37, made some serious allegations on his song “Not Like Us,” released in May 2024.

In the song, the Compton-born rapper appears to accuse Drake and another member of his crew of being a pedophile.

It was posted on YouTube and appeared to include a graphic of Drake’s house covered in red sex offender symbols.

Drake responded in May by releasing “The Heart Part 6,” rapping, “Drake is a name you won’t see on any sex offender list.”

Lamar took aim at the Canadian rapper again in June, hosting the star-studded show. The Pop Out – Ken & Friends at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

As the opening act on stage, he first played his song “Euphoria”, another diss track aimed at Drake and containing new lyrics.

According to the BBC, the song included a new line in which the hitmaker rapped: “Give me back Tupac’s ring and maybe I’ll show you a little respect.”

The new addition appears to refer to Drake purchasing the late Tupac Shakur’s crown ring for more than $1 million in July 2023 as an anonymous bidder.

While Ross was battling Drake’s fans, the rapper celebrated Canada Day and posted a series of videos and photos to his Instagram stories.

In one clip, he was seen singing along to a song before looking into the camera and saying “Happy Canada Day.”

In another clip, a friend is seen squeezing a slice of lemon into a drink before presumably toasting Drake, who held the camera, took a sip and placed an emoji of a Canadian flag and maple leaf on it.

The rapper ended the day with a fireworks display and posted a video of the fireworks enjoying it with his friends.
