Smithfield woman killed – police search for truck

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) — A woman died Monday night after she fell from her bicycle and was struck by a semi-trailer, according to Smithfield police.

The victim was identified as 25-year-old Aliana Ciacciarelli of Smithfield.

The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the area of ​​140 Pleasant View Ave.

According to police, the truck driver did not stop. Investigators are now looking for a light-colored combination of a day cab and a semi-trailer that was in the area at the time of the accident.
