Haltom City man allegedly plans to meet woman in The Woodlands and sexually abuse teenager, authorities say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KIAH) — A man has been arrested for allegedly plotting to sexually abuse a 13-year-old girl in The Woodlands with the help of her mother.

Scott Baldwin (Montgomery County 3rd District Police Department)

Scott Jacob Baldwin, 33, of Haltom City was arrested last Wednesday in Euless after the Montgomery County 3rd District Sheriff’s Office charged him with online solicitation of minors.

According to the investigation, Baldwin communicated online with an unidentified woman living in The Woodlands, and the woman later hatched a plan to meet with Baldwin in person just to sexually abuse her 13-year-old daughter.

While communicating with the woman, Baldwin allegedly told her about his sexual interest in children and his other sexual encounters with other victims in Tarrant County, investigators said.

According to a search conducted by investigators, Baldwin had previously been accused of sexual assault in Tarrant County.

Baldwin was later extradited to the Montgomery County Jail, where he is being held on $100,000 bail. There is no information yet on whether the woman has been charged.
