76-year-old man convicted of sexually abusing a child in 2018

A Pennsauken Township man was convicted of sexually abusing a child, the Camden County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday.

According to authorities, 76-year-old Joseph Jackson is accused of repeatedly abusing a nine-year-old girl in 2018. The assaults occurred between April and December 2018 at Jackson’s residence in Pennsauken and between November and December 2018 in Riverton.

Jackson was arrested by Pennsauken Police at his residence on March 5, 2019.

A jury found Jackson guilty of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child on Friday. Sentencing is scheduled for December 6.
