Hamburg’s Foxglove Pub Closes One Week After Official Opening

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Foxglove Pub in Hamburg has closed its doors a week after its grand opening on June 22.

The pub, located on Buffalo Street, announced on social media that it was closing its doors this week, just days after it opened. The closure comes after years of renovations to the building.

In social media posts that have since been deleted, the owners initially cited “questionable decisions” and “a series of unfortunate events.”

News 4 reached out to the owners, who declined to speak on camera, to learn why they are closing.

“We are closing because the bar industry is not something we want to pursue, so we plan to sell or lease the property so someone else can realize the vision we have created,” they said.
