Kristen Stewart’s open quotes about sexuality and her coming out as queer

Kristen Stewart came out as queer in the middle of her Saturday Night Live Host debut.

“I’m a little nervous about hosting because I know the president is probably watching and, um, I don’t think he likes me very much,” Stewart joked in her monologue in February 2017, referring to the former president. She told the Sunday News that she came out SNL because it “just seemed important and timely” to her and denied that she went out with Pattinson out of confusion.

“I didn’t hide anything,” Stewart noted. “I didn’t talk about my first relationships, which became public, because I wanted to own the things that were mine. I hated that details of my life were commodified and sold around the world. But with so many eyes on me, I suddenly realized that (my private life) affected more people than just me. It was an opportunity to give up a little bit of what was mine to make even one other person feel good.”
