NCPD: One dead and one injured in house demolition on Long Island

MANORHAVEN, N.Y. (PIX11) — One man was injured and another is dead after a wall fell on them during the demolition of a Long Island home on Monday, authorities said.

During demolition at 56 Kirkwood Road in Manorhaven, a concrete wall fell on two men around noon, according to Nassau County police.


A 20-year-old man suffered cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital and was pronounced dead, police said. A 56-year-old man was also taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police said the investigation was still ongoing and no further information was available.
