70-year-old Fort Worth woman charged with aggravated robbery – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

A woman is behind bars after accusing restaurant employees of taking her money and robbing one of them at gunpoint and demanding his money, according to Fort Worth police.

It happened on Thursday, June 27, at the Mexican restaurant Taqueria Mi Ranchito in Fort Worth.

According to Fort Worth police, officers responded to the restaurant in the 5700 block of Crowley Road shortly after 1 p.m. after receiving reports that a woman threatened an employee with a gun.

When police officers arrived at the restaurant, the suspect, 70-year-old Josefina Luna, was arrested while authorities conducted their investigation.

A company employee told Fort Worth police that Luna entered the restaurant, accused the staff of taking her money and demanded a refund.

Luna then allegedly pulled a small black handgun from her bag and pointed it at the employee under a table.

Authorities said that during their investigation, Luna accused staff of taking her money and denied possessing a weapon, but when officers searched her bag, they discovered a firearm that matched the victim’s description.

Luna was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. Records show she is in the Tarrant County Corrections Center and is being held on $25,000 bail.
