Attacks on bouncers in Milford occurred less than two days apart; 3 people arrested: police

One woman was arrested by police on June 28 and the other two on June 30 after two separate attacks on bouncers.

MILFORD, Connecticut – Three women were arrested after bouncers at the Stonebridge restaurant were attacked less than two days apart, Milford police said Monday.

According to police, officers were at the restaurant on a private call at 11 p.m. on June 28 when a customer, 19-year-old Gisell Materan of New Haven, was observed vomiting.

When the restaurant’s bouncers tried to throw her out, Materan punched one of them in the face, police said. Police said she also spat at officers on the scene as they tried to handcuff her.

Materan was arrested and charged with breach of peace, third-degree assault, assault on a public safety officer, trespassing and obstructing an officer. She was released and is scheduled to appear in court in July.

At 12:35 a.m. on June 30, two patrons of the Stonebridge restaurant, identified as Jamie Plumaker, 23, of ATL Highlands, NJ, and Jacqueline Plumaker, 28, of Newport, RI, were asked by security to leave the establishment, police said.

Then, police said, the two became “angry” because Jacqueline Plumaker allegedly “threw a drink at a bouncer and started punching him in the face.”

When restaurant officers took Jacqueline Plumaker outside and arrested her on a private duty, Jamie Plumaker ran toward her, according to police.

When Stonebridge bouncers tried to stop Jamie Plumaker, she bit one of them on the arm, police said.

Following their arrest, they were charged with second-degree assault, obstructing an officer, disturbing the peace and trespassing. Both were held on $5,000 bail and are scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on July 23.
