CR 208 in St. Johns County will close May 31 – Action News Jax

St. Johns County, Florida – Attention St. Johns County drivers. County Road 208 will be temporarily closed from May 31 to June 11.

The closure will allow the county to install new water and domestic water transmission lines along CR 208 near the Toms Road intersection.

County leaders said the lines would provide fire protection to areas east of I-95 and State Road 207.

Detour signs will be posted.

“Prior to the closure, communication took place with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, fire department, school transportation and other essential service providers to ensure county operations were coordinated,” said Neal Shinkre, St. Johns County Utilities Director .Johns, in a press release.

The project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2024.
