Man arrested for exposing himself to Target customers in Macomb County

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Michigan. – A man was arrested in Macomb County for inappropriately exposing himself to Target customers, police said.

Shelby Township police officers were called to Target on June 26, 2024, at 9:28 p.m. for an unrelated reason, they said. Managers told them while they were there that Dequan Walker Jr. was making customers feel uncomfortable and may have exposed himself.

Walker denied the allegations, but when Target sent surveillance video the next day, it showed him fully exposing himself, officials said.

Shelby Township police said he “exposed himself to female customers and walked around the store with his genitals exposed.”

Walker was arrested without incident at his home on June 28.

He was arraigned on Monday in District Court 41-A on charges of aggravated public nuisance.

Bail was set at $20,000 cash or surety. Upon release, he will be required to stay at home and wear a GPS tracking device.

“There is no place for this despicable, despicable and reckless behavior in Shelby Township,” said Shelby Township Police Chief Robert Shelide.
