6 people killed in house fire in Wisconsin – KION546

NECEDAH, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a house fire in Wisconsin has killed six family members. Initial indications suggest the blaze was started accidentally. A news release posted Monday on the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page said emergency crews were called to a house fire in Necedah around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, the house was engulfed in flames. Firefighters battled the blaze for three hours. Authorities have not yet released the names of the six people who died. The sheriff’s office said the fire was believed to be started accidentally, but the investigation is ongoing. The state fire marshal is assisting firefighters.
