DJT Stock Alert: Trump Media to be included in the Russell 1000 and Russell 3000 indices

Trump Media & Technology (NASDAQ:DJT) stock rose on Monday after shares of Truth Social’s parent company fell in the Russell1000 And Russell3000 Indices.

Today is the first day of trading after DJT stock was added to the Russell 1000 and Russell 3000 indices after the market closed on Friday. Trump Media & Technology was added to the indices as part of their 2024 annual reconstitution.

Trump Media & Technology will remain in the indexes for at least one year, as they are only updated annually. The Russell 3000 Index tracks the 3,000 largest companies in the United States. This is measured using “objective market capitalization rankings and style attributes.”

Inclusion in the Russell 3000 index automatically entails inclusion in the large-cap index Russell 1000 or the small-cap index Russell 2000. In the case of DJT stock, it was included in the Russell 1000 index.

How this affects DJT shares today

With this news comes increased interest in DJT stock today. At the time of writing, more than 7 million shares have changed hands. This is above the daily average trading volume of about 6.9 million shares.

DJT shares rose 1.6% on Monday afternoon. The stock has also risen 90.6% since the beginning of the year.
