Son arrested in connection with the death of his parents in Elk Grove

(FOX40.COM) — The adult son of two victims of a double homicide in Elk Grove was arrested Sunday in connection with their deaths, Elk Grove police said.

According to police, the victims’ 44-year-old son said at around 2 p.m. on Friday that he found his parents dead when he went to check on them at their Crosscourt Way home because he had been unable to make contact with them.

The suspect also told police that his parents’ vehicle was missing from their garage.

Police found a video showing the suspect parking his own car a few blocks from his parents’ house.

Police said the man then went to his parents’ house and drove away in their car. Officers found the car a few blocks from where the suspect had parked his own car.

According to police, the suspect was arrested on Sunday following a search of his home “during which evidence related to the crimes was discovered.”
