Double shooting between Cooper and Young leaves one dead

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – A man is dead, a woman is injured and unknown suspects are still on the run following a double shooting in Memphis’ Cooper-Young neighborhood early Monday morning.

Memphis police said they responded to the shooting in the 2000 block of Felix Avenue around 12:20 a.m. Monday.

A man was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. A woman was taken to Regional One Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Memphis police said their initial information on the shooting suggests the suspects, who are still on the run, may be in a white midsize SUV, but they did not specify the make or model.
