Police investigate two shootings in Schertz

SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating a shooting in Schertz Sunday that injured two people outside a home on Columbia Drive, near Interstate-35.

The victims were found in a car that had been shot at.

Schertz police did not provide information on the severity of their injuries, saying only that some of them were injured by gunfire. The police chief said the shooting appeared to be targeted.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance on Columbia Drive around 2:45 a.m.

There, investigators found a car with numerous bullet holes. There were four people inside, but only two were injured.

During their investigation, officers determined that the incident had started again in Covers Cove, which is about two minutes away and appears to be in the same neighborhood.

The investigation is currently still ongoing.
