Driver is being investigated for drunk driving after colliding with two different cars

Two people were seriously injured and one person has minor injuries after a car crash. It occurred just before 1 a.m. Sunday near 52nd and Ames streets. Omaha police said a Tesla was traveling east at a high rate of speed when it struck a stationary car. The driver then drove through the intersection and crashed into a Chevy in the northbound lane. At the scene of the crash, officials said the driver of the Tesla is being investigated for driving under the influence. Two adults from the Chevy were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Two people were seriously injured and one person suffered minor injuries following a car accident.

It happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday near 52nd and Ames Street.

According to Omaha police, a Tesla was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it struck the side of a stationary car. The driver then drove through the intersection and crashed into a Chevy in the northbound lane.

Officials on scene said the driver of the Tesla was being investigated for drunk driving.

Two adults from the Chevy were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The person from the car that was hit by a car sideways was able to be taken to hospital on his own with minor injuries from the accident.
