Man shot dead after argument outside North Hollywood bakery

A man was killed on Sunday when an argument outside a North Hollywood bakery escalated into a shootout.

According to investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department, it happened around 12:50 p.m. in the 12400 block of Burbank Boulevard near Whitsett Avenue. Video from the scene shows the shooting took place in front of Sam’s Kosher Bakery.

They say the victim, a 52-year-old man, got into some sort of argument with a man in his 30s and 40s that soon escalated into a shootout.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been established.

The suspect was arrested at the scene, police said.
