Gusto Wood Fired Pizza Kitchen is a new restaurant now open in East Rutherford.

Owners are no stranger to the restaurant business, with a background in managing and operating restaurants and “extensive experience” in creating menus and “ensuring exceptional service.”

The restaurant’s opening is about “creating a place where people can enjoy delicious Italian comfort food and fantastic pizza made from the freshest ingredients, coupled with a “love of good food and bringing people together.”

The restaurant’s goal is to offer a “dose of Italian comfort in a relaxed, casual atmosphere,” whether it’s friends, family, business associates dining or private events.

They focus primarily on casual Italian-American comfort food with appetizers, salads, wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, entrees and desserts with rotating specials.

Lunch and dinner are expected in the main dining room, which seats approximately 110 people, and the private event room, which seats approximately 50-60 people.

Once operational, the restaurant is expected to be open seven days a week.

It is currently open seven days a week.
