Investigation into Matthew Perry’s death reveals “multiple suspects” linked to supply of ketamine

The investigation into Matthew Perry’s death has identified “several suspects” who are said to have supplied the star with ketamine – the drug that contributed to his death.

The “Friends” actor was only 54 years old when he was found unconscious in his hot tub at home. The autopsy listed the causes of death as “high levels of ketamine” in his blood, coronary heart disease and drowning.

The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday: “The criminal investigation into Matthew Perry’s death from the acute effects of the prescription drug ketamine is nearing completion. Prosecutors must now decide whether to file charges against those connected to the actor’s procurement of the drug.”

The report, which claims two anonymous law enforcement sources spoke to the publication, goes on to say that the Los Angeles Police Department has “linked several individuals to the procurement of the ketamine,” but added: “It is up to federal and possibly local prosecutors to decide whether to file charges.”

The identities of the individuals associated with the procurement of the drug were not disclosed in the report or by local law enforcement authorities.

The Los Angeles Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Postal Service are involved in the investigation, which has been ongoing since May.

Authorities are trying to determine how Perry obtained the high dose of ketamine that contributed to his death. In the past, it has been reported that he took the drug to combat depression.
