Jacksonville police investigate fatal Sunday morning shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Arkansas – Jacksonville police are investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old dead Sunday night.

According to Jacksonville police, the incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday morning in the 1100 block of Heather Street.

When officers arrived, they said they found a 17-year-old girl with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

According to police, the suspect fled the scene in a white vehicle.
