Authorities say two former Calhoun school system employees are accused of having sexual contact with students.

According to Gordon County Superior Court documents, Railey Greeson and Brooklyn Shuler – both former Calhoun City Schools employees – were indicted Thursday in a special grand jury hearing on charges of “first-degree sexual contact by an employee or agent.”

The indictment alleges that Greeson had “sexual intercourse and sexually explicit conduct” with a male student between late October 2021 and early January 2022. According to court documents, Greeson “reasonably should have known” that the male student was enrolled as a student, violating Georgia Code 16-6-5.1 (b). She is charged with two counts of sexual contact by an employee or agent.

Shuler is charged with sexual contact by an employee or agent and with engaging in “sexual intercourse and sexually explicit conduct” with another male student enrolled in the CCS system during the same time period. He also “reasonably should have known” that the male student was enrolled as a student, violating Georgia Code 16-6-5.1 (b).

The ages of the male students named in the case have not been disclosed.

Both Greeson and Shuler turned themselves in and were taken to the Gordon County Jail. They have since been released.
